State of Search: A Memorable Team Experience in Texas
Our team had an incredible time at the State of Search conference in Texas, a four-day event packed with insights, inspiration, and some unforgettable moments. The conference featured a diverse lineup of industry experts sharing their knowledge. Highlights included Carolyn Shelby’s session on AI amplifying SEO, Danny Gavin’s ecommerce strategies, and Dale Bertrand’s focus on driving revenue through SEO, to name a few.
Beyond the sessions, the trip was a wonderful opportunity for team building and connection. On the evening we all arrived, we kicked things off with dinner at a lively Tex-Mex restaurant. For some of us, it was the first time meeting face-to-face after years of only seeing each other on a screen.
The second day concluded with a happy hour at the stunning Hotel Vin, where we mingled with conference attendees over live country music, dancing, and great food. Later, some of us explored downtown Grapevine, a charming area featuring a vintage train parked next to a modern one—a scene straight out of a movie. For those of us still full of energy after a long day, we ended the night with some team-building activities, playing video games together. It may have gotten a bit competitive, but it was a fun way to bond and unwind as a team.
Day three brought more Texas charm as we visited the Fort Worth Stockyards. The picturesque streets and authentic BBQ at Riscky’s Barbeque made it a truly memorable experience. During dinner, we celebrated JP’s early birthday and wished our CEO good luck as he prepares for his move to Bangladesh.
On the final day, we visited one of our client’s facilities, Dalworth Rug and Dalworth Restoration, to gain a real-world understanding of their operations. It was a proud moment for us as our team member Inan saw his software being applied in real life.
We also took a nostalgic tour of our old office, reflecting on how far the company has come and seeing where it all began. We wrapped up the trip with a final team lunch at a New York-style pizza place before saying our goodbyes and heading home.
This trip was more than just a conference—it was a celebration of growth, learning, and connection. Here’s to the memories we made and the exciting future ahead!
