I've been a software developer in the DFW area since 1988. Until mid 2007 I worked mostly as a Senior COBOL application Programmer/Analyst at mid and large size corporations using mainframes and SQL based relational databases. In the mid 1990s I began learning Object Oriented Programming with Java and also web-technologies like HTML, JavaScript and also the TCP/IP layers and architecture. In 2009, I graduated Magna Cum Laude from The University of Texas at Arlington with a Bachelor of Science in Information Systems (3.8 overall GPA, 4.0 GPA in Information Systems courses.) My degree included: two course levels in Java; two course levels in web-development (HTML/CSS/Javascript); and courses in C#, RDBMSs+SQL, and other technologies. Since my graduation, I've focused my career on web-development, Object Oriented programming languages and relational database technologies. Some highlights of my most recent work are: two years at ShopKeep Inc (shopkeep.com, cloud-based point-of-sale system). Some of the technologies we used were: HTML/CSS/JavaScript; Ruby; Ruby on Rails; MySQL; PostgreSQL and others.  I recently performed contract work at FlowTrac/FlowSoft software company, working mostly with HTML/CSS/JavaScript and Object-Oriented PHP web-applications. I like working with just about any computer and any computer language; but right now I mostly prefer working with PHP, JavaScript, Java, C#, and Ruby.

Some of my favorite hobbies and interests are: playing guitar; playing chess; bike riding; and learning more about computer software and hardware (mostly Windows/Macs/Linux/Unix). Other interests include: bowling; watching movies; and watching pro-football and pro-baseball.
